Hello! I'm Ariana Barré
I’m a sport science & physical education PhD student at the University of Chichester.
My research
I am interested in how social media influences our health behaviours. My research is all about reducing the negative health outcomes associated with social media consumption during adolescence. I am designing an educational tool-kit that will empower teenagers through media health literacy.

My background
I have a bachelors degree in chemistry from Seattle University (2018) and a MSc in Physical Activity & Public Health (2021). My masters dissertation was ‘The Digital Panopticon: Exploring social media consumption and young women’s physical activity & health through the lens of Foucault’ of which my PhD research is a continuation.
